Legal U.S. Banking Regulatory Compliance Lead at Stripe

Leads second-line U.S. banking regulatory compliance for Stripe’s BaaS products, partnerships, controls, policies, monitoring, and regulatory exams.

Lead Posted about 4 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe’s Financial Crimes Compliance Risk Oversight (FinCRO) team is looking for a U.S. Regulatory Compliance Lead for our Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) business. You’ll own second-line oversight of Stripe’s U.S. BaaS products and bank-fintech partnerships. The work is practical and cross-functional: turn federal and state requirements and supervisory expectations into clear policies, controls, monitoring, evidence, and ownership.

What you’ll do

This role is focused on U.S. BaaS regulation. You’ll work across sponsor-bank and fintech responsibility mapping; BSA/AML and sanctions; consumer protection and fair lending; deposits and FDIC insurance representations; privacy, cybersecurity, incident response, and third-party risk; complaints and disputes; payment network and ACH rules; state money transmission and lending requirements; and regulatory exams, remediation, and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the second-line compliance framework for Stripe’s U.S. BaaS products (i.e., Capital, Issuing, and Treasury) and bank-fintech partnerships. Make sure responsibilities are clear across Stripe, sponsor banks, program managers, processors, and other partners.
  • Turn U.S. federal and state laws, guidance, enforcement actions, and supervisory expectations into practical policies, product requirements, controls, procedures, evidence standards, and monitoring.
  • Set and oversee controls for BSA/AML, customer identification and verification, customer due diligence and beneficial ownership, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity escalation, sanctions screening, and recordkeeping.
  • Oversee consumer and lending compliance for BaaS products, including UDAAP; Regulations E, Z, B, and DD; fair lending; FCRA; SCRA; FDCPA; complaints and disputes; adverse action; collections; marketing and disclosures; fees; account restrictions; and account closures.
  • Oversee deposit-product compliance, including FDIC insurance representations, Reg CC, pass-through insurance requirements, pooled or custodial structures, customer-level records, ledger integrity, reconciliation, and access to funds.
  • Define compliance expectations for privacy, cybersecurity, incident escalation, operational resilience, business continuity, data access, record retention, and an orderly wind-down of BaaS programs.
  • Provide second-line oversight on behalf of sponsor banks and other BaaS partners through risk assessments, due diligence, contract requirements, control testing, performance and complaint monitoring, issue management, and exit planning.
  • Review new U.S. BaaS products and material changes. Identify applicable obligations, control gaps, licensing implications, and launch conditions, then drive remediation to closure with clear owners.
  • Keep pace with U.S. BaaS regulatory developments and enforcement trends, assess what they mean for Stripe, and coordinate timely changes with first-line teams.
  • Help Stripe prepare for and respond to U.S. regulatory exams, supervisory engagements, audits, and formal commitments. Maintain defensible obligation mappings and evidence, identify gaps, and oversee remediation.
  • Work closely with Product, Legal, Risk, Engineering, Operations, Internal Audit, sponsor-bank teams, and other specialists. Clarify ownership, challenge control design and execution, and give leaders a clear view of risk and progress.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply.

Minimum requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in U.S. banking, fintech, or financial-services compliance, including substantial work with BaaS, bank-fintech partnerships, embedded finance, or deposit, card, payment, or lending products.
  • A deep understanding of the U.S. regulatory framework for BaaS and how responsibilities are divided among sponsor banks, fintechs, program managers, processors, and other service providers.
  • Hands-on expertise across several relevant areas, such as BSA/AML and sanctions, consumer financial protection, fair lending, deposit and FDIC insurance requirements, third-party risk, complaints and disputes, privacy and cybersecurity, ACH or card programs, and state money transmission or lending requirements.
  • A track record of turning complex U.S. legal and regulatory requirements into practical policies, product requirements, controls, procedures, monitoring, testing, and evidence.
  • Experience with the full compliance control lifecycle: assessing risk and obligations, designing and implementing controls, documenting decisions, testing or monitoring, managing issues, overseeing remediation, and reporting to governance forums.
  • Experience reviewing new products and material changes, as well as supporting regulatory change, licensing analysis, exams, audits, enforcement remediation, or commitments to regulators and Boards.
  • Sound judgment, especially when ownership, regulatory precedent, or operating boundaries are not clear. You know how to separate second-line oversight from first-line execution and still move the work forward.
  • The ability to influence and coordinate across Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Risk, Operations, Internal Audit, sponsor banks, and senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
  • Clear, concise writing and strong documentation skills. You can explain complex BaaS requirements and control decisions to technical, business, governance, partner-bank, and regulatory audiences.

Legal Business Affairs Lead at Movement Strategy

Leads agency business affairs by negotiating client, talent, vendor, licensing, IP, and other commercial contracts while managing contracting processes and staff.

Lead Remote Posted 2 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Business Affairs Lead

Position: Full-time

Location: Remote

OVERVIEW

Movement Strategy is looking for a Business Affairs Lead to own our contracting and business affairs function. A law degree is a plus but not required. What matters most is deep agency contracting experience and the judgment to know when something needs outside counsel.

This is an agency role, not a corporate legal seat. You’ll spend your time on the contracts that make our work possible: client MSAs and SOWs, influencer and talent agreements, vendor and technology contracts, NDAs, and licensing and IP matters. You’ll report to the Director of Operations, with a standing direct line to the COO on contractual risk and function strategy.

You’ll personally handle the complex, high-value work while managing and developing a Business Affairs Manager who owns day-to-day contracting volume. Just as important, you’ll set the vision for how business affairs operate at Movement. That means building the playbooks, templates, and cross-team practices that let a lean function protect a growing agency.

We’re looking for someone proactive by default. You flag what’s coming before you’re asked, and you get in front of client teams before content is made rather than after. You treat business affairs as something that enables great work, not something that gates it.

A BIT ABOUT US

Movement Strategy creates content and campaigns for the world’s most exciting brands. We win awards, make headlines, shatter engagement numbers and celebrate the journey along the way. It’s why companies like Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, and Intuit come to us again and again.

We’re fully remote with hubs in New York, Denver, and LA, and a presence all across the US. We believe collaboration is what takes our work from good to great, and at times, even to legendary status. We champion diverse opinions and creativity in every department, and provide professional development and learning opportunities with the goal of helping you discover your best work today, and learn how to make it even better in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contracting and negotiation
    • Own MSA and SOW negotiation with clients end to end, including leading live negotiation with client legal teams as needed.
    • Personally handle complex, high-value, or high-risk agreements.
    • Oversee influencer and talent contracting, delegating volume to the Business Affairs Manager with quality and risk oversight.
    • Manage NDAs, vendor agreements, licensing, stock and IP clearances, and technology contracts.
    • Apply clear escalation criteria to determine when matters require external counsel, and manage those relationships and spend.
  • Business Affairs vision and systems
    • Set and execute the vision for Business Affairs at Movement, including what the function owns, how it scales, and what it needs.
    • Build and maintain the contract review playbook covering NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs. It should define what to scrutinize, our go and no-go positions, where we can concede, and what escalates, including to external counsel.
    • Own contract templates and drive a scheduled review and refresh cycle rather than updating only when a problem surfaces.
    • Own the structure and integrity of the contract library, including naming conventions, organization, and version currency. Ensure documents are stored accurately and consistently at all times.
    • Train the Business Affairs Manager on ongoing library upkeep with regular touchpoints. Retain direct oversight and ultimate responsibility for the library’s accuracy.
    • Identify patterns across the contract portfolio and translate them into template changes and risk mitigation.
  • Compliance and cross-team partnership
    • Build and run a content production and review system with client teams. It should confirm that work meets MSA obligations, usage and licensing terms, FTC guidelines, and platform requirements before it goes out.
    • Walk client teams through their governing MSA and SOW at engagement kickoff. The goal is for obligations, restrictions, usage rights, and approval requirements to be understood up front rather than discovered later.
    • Partner with the VP of Technology to define and maintain our stance on technology stack terms, conditions, and IP practices, including AI tools. Advise teams on usage and risk.
    • Review DPA and data-specific requirements within SOWs and MSAs to ensure alignment across contractual and technical terms, escalating to external counsel as needed.
    • Partner with the Director of Operations to build and implement contract and compliance literacy training across client services teams, Influencer Marketing, New Business, and Finance, so teams can spot issues before they reach us.
  • Leadership and communication
    • Manage and develop the Business Affairs Manager through regular 1:1s, coaching, delegation, and a documented growth plan.
    • Serve as the primary business affairs advisor to leadership on contractual and commercial risk, partnering with external counsel on matters requiring legal advice.
    • Communicate proactively and in writing on volume, capacity, risk, and what is in flight, without being asked.
    • Represent the Business Affairs perspective in cross-functional and strategic planning.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years in business affairs, contracts management, or legal operations, with significant experience negotiating agency, entertainment, or media agreements. Candidates with a JD or paralegal background are welcome.
  • Meaningful experience in agency, entertainment, media, or brand-side business affairs or legal work. Agency fluency matters more here than pedigree.
  • Demonstrated ownership of MSA and SOW negotiation with sophisticated client counterparties.
  • Working knowledge of influencer and talent contracting, IP and licensing, usage rights, FTC guidelines, and platform requirements.
  • Experience managing external counsel and legal spend.
  • Experience managing or formally mentoring at least one direct report.
  • A track record of building something durable, such as a playbook, a template library, a compliance program, or a process that outlasted you.
  • Comfortable moving fast in a live commercial environment and negotiating on a call rather than only in redlines.

IDEAL QUALITIES

  • JD and active bar admission are a plus.
  • Experience standing up or maturing a business affairs or legal function at a growing agency or company.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and AI tooling considerations relevant to creative production.
  • Exposure to vendor and technology contracting.

Salary & Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $150k - 190k per year. A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, years of relevant experience, qualifications, and certifications. Movement Strategy prides itself on providing competitive salaries and actively works to ensure there is pay equity across the company.

Benefits & Perks:

Movement Strategy’s approach to the future of work: We embrace a remote culture and empower our employees to work wherever they feel most productive. To facilitate in-person collaboration, we have a partnership with WeWork which allows our employees to have a membership to any location nationwide. We recruit in our three main states of California, Colorado, and New York.

In return, we invest in our employees by offering them a diverse suite of benefits from best-in-class carriers, with enough choice and flexibility to keep our team and their families healthy and happy today and tomorrow.

  • 100% employer contribution for health (base plan), vision, and dental
  • 401K Retirement Plan with Company Match
  • Short and Long Term Disability
  • Life Insurance & AD&D
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Fully-Remote Agency
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • Take-As-You-Need Paid Time Off
  • Take-As-You-Need Paid Mental Health Days
  • 10 days minimum required off per year
  • Company Paid Holidays
  • Week-Long Winter Agency Closure
  • Support for continued education
  • New Business Referral Bonus
  • Movement Journey Program -  Stipend for personal growth
  • Health and Wellness Program
  • WeWork Membership
  • Positive Impact and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committees
  • Employee Resource Groups

Movement Strategy is an Equal Opportunity Employer

At Movement, we believe that what we put out into the world matters. And since we were founded on the principles of paving our own path, we take bold steps towards what we believe is the right direction. This means addressing the big stuff: the systems of inequality that impact some of us far more than others. As culture creators, we firmly believe we have a responsibility to our colleagues, clients, communities, and the industry to live up to the Movement name. We confront inequities head-on as they come, knowing that this work is never done and that we must keep the momentum.

Legal Attorney – Leader of Health Care, Regulatory & Compliance at Henry Meds

Leads healthcare regulatory legal work and builds compliance programs for a multi-state telehealth, pharmacy, and digital health business.

Lead Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Henry Meds: Henry Meds is a direct-to-consumer telehealth company on a mission to create a world where everyone has the health to live fully– regardless of insurance status or plan. As a telehealth organization delivering virtual health care to patients in 40 states and DC through a professional corporation–management services organization (“PC-MSO”) model, clinical care is delivered by physician-owned professional entities, and Henry Meds provides administrative, technology, and business support services under management services agreements.

We’re headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a largely remote U.S. team. We work under a guiding principle that puts patients first, driven by five values: Integrity Always, Own It, Be Relentless, Stay Curious, and Win Together. We are driven to fulfil our mission and create a great place to work.

Position Overview:

Henry Meds is looking for a resourceful health care regulatory attorney to join our team and help guide the company through the complex, fast-moving intersection of telehealth, pharmacy, and digital health regulation. This is a high-impact, largely autonomous role: you’ll be the go-to regulatory resource for teams across the business, from care operations, medical affairs, pharmacy, to product/engineering, growth, and people, as they build and scale a compliant, multi-state care delivery model. In this role, you will build out Henry Meds’ compliance program while also serving as a trusted legal advisor to the business. Given the company’s current stage, legal and compliance are combined in a single department; as Henry Meds grows, this leader will be responsible for guiding the separation of these functions into distinct legal and compliance roles, consistent with industry guidance and best practices. This role has broad ownership of the health care regulatory function, providing the legal and regulatory expertise.

In this role, you will be the company’s definitive internal authority on healthcare regulatory matters and will be the primary architect of the compliance program’s substance: its policies, training, risk assessment, and monitoring content. The PC-MSO structure is the legal foundation of the business, and its integrity is a daily operating discipline rather than a one-time structuring exercise. With states tightening rules on management company control of clinical entities, and telehealth rules on prescribing, licensure, and consumer health data continuing to shift, we need an attorney who can keep the company both compliant and fast-moving, building guardrails that enable growth.

Subject Matter Knowledge

Depth is expected in structural and clinical regulation (CPOM and fee-splitting, MSA design and fair market value, professional entity governance, state MSO transparency and transaction notice laws, medical board authority, scope of practice, credentialing and peer review, telehealth practice standards, informed consent, and licensure compacts) and in telehealth operations and data (Ryan Haight and DEA prescribing, PDMP and e-prescribing, pharmacy and compounding, HIPAA, 42 C.F.R. Part 2, state consumer health data and privacy laws, FTC Act Section 5, tracking technology, TCPA, and AI governance). We have no current government reimbursement, but working literacy in fraud and abuse — AKS, Stark, EKRA, CMP, False Claims Act, OIG guidance, and exclusion screening, is helpful.

Working Style

We are looking for judgment over recitation, a clear recommendation with a stated risk posture, not a survey of considerations, along with enough business fluency to find the compliant path rather than only identify the non-compliant one, a builder’s instinct for a program that does not yet exist, credibility with clinicians, the backbone to hold the line with senior leadership where the structure or patient safety requires it, and writing that non-lawyers can act on without follow-up.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compliance program. Build and run an effective program aligned with the seven elements and current OIG guidance: policies and SOPs, role-based training, confidential reporting and investigations, risk assessments and an annual work plan, monitoring and auditing licensure, and DEA verification and vendor diligence findings.
  • PC-MSO structure and corporate practice of medicine (CPOM). Own the legal integrity of the structure in every state of operation, including CPOM, fee-splitting, and lay control of clinical decision-making. Draft and re-paper management services agreements, administer the affiliated professional entities, hold the clinical/administrative line, train non-clinical leadership on how to operate and communicate within the structure, and manage state MSO transparency and transaction-notification filings with outside counsel.
  • Regulatory strategy and advisory. Advise product, clinical, growth, engineering, and operations early enough to shape new products, care models, protocols, and pricing rather than block launch. Maintain the state-by-state telehealth matrix, position papers, and risk register, and translate legislative and enforcement developments into prioritized action with owners and deadlines.
  • Clinical workforce. Advise on multi-state licensure strategy and compacts, scope of practice and supervision requirements for advanced practice clinicians, credentialing and peer review, clinician contracting and compensation, and adverse event, board complaint, and NPDB matters.
  • Prescribing and pharmacy. Own Ryan Haight Act and DEA telemedicine prescribing compliance, including readiness for the anticipated special registration framework. Advise on state prescribing rules, pharmacy and 503A/503B compounding relationships, FDA-regulated promotional and software touchpoints, and requirements imposed by LegitScript, payment processors, and advertising platforms.
  • Privacy and data. Serve as Privacy Office function for HIPAA, state consumer health data laws, FTC Act Section 5, and tracking-technology exposure. n the BAA program, breach risk assessments, and OCR reporting, and on PC–MSO data flows, TCPA and CAN-SPAM outreach rules, and AI and clinical algorithm governance.
  • Marketing, fraud, and abuse. Review advertising claims, testimonials, influencer and affiliate arrangements, website terms, consent flows, and auto-renewal compliance against FTC and state law, and structure referral relationships, patient acquisition channels, discount and waiver programs, and clinician and sales compensation to manage fraud and abuse exposure.
  • Contracting and external interactions. Draft and negotiate the healthcare-regulated contract set and support state expansion through go-live sign-off. Serve as primary contact for medical boards, health departments, attorneys general, DEA, and OCR, and manage outside counsel vendor stack

You will likely have:

  • J.D. and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility to serve as in-house counsel in Nevada.
  • 6–8+ years of healthcare regulatory experience at a top healthcare regulatory practice, an AmLaw firm’s healthcare group, or in-house at a provider, digital health, or payer organization.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with PC-MSO / friendly PC structures, building, papering, defending, or operating them, plus command of CPOM and fee-splitting doctrines, telehealth practice and modality rules, multi-state licensure, HIPAA, AKS, and state medical board regulation.
  • Experience advising on or materially contributing to a healthcare compliance program, and a track record of clear, decisive, risk-calibrated guidance for fast-moving commercial teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Digital health experience through a period of multi-state expansion;
  • DEA telemedicine prescribing and controlled substance workflows;
  • State MSO oversight, ownership transparency, and transaction notification regimes;
  • Prior service as Chief Compliance Officer or Privacy Officer;
  • Government investigations, board inquiries, or OCR matters.

Company Offers:

  • Platinum PPO Healthcare + Vision & Dental (Henry covers 99% for employees and 50% for their qualified dependents).
  • 401(k) with matching contributions beginning your first day.
  • Impactful, rewarding work as part of a fast-growing brand helping thousands of people every day.
  • Generous PTO plan.
  • Remote with team members based across the U.S., alongside our Las Vegas, NV office; This role is open to remote, hybrid, or in-person in Las Vegas NV, Seattle WA, or Miami

Equal Opportunity Statement:

Henry Meds is committed to building an inclusive, discrimination-free workplace and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. We consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application process, please let us know.

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Legal Assurance Lead at Anima

Builds Anima’s assurance function by managing regulatory compliance, risk, data governance, and safety confidence for healthcare customers.

Lead Posted 10 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

I quit medicine because I kept watching patients die needlessly, for avoidable reasons. In almost every case, the science and the clinicians were fine. It was the system around them that failed: the way information moved, the way decisions got routed, and the way fragmented teams and fragmented data turned solvable problems into tragedy.

Our mission is human wellbeing, and we’re focusing on the breakthrough technology of personalised medicine. Since the beginning, our proprietary insight has always been that the company to create a true active learning data engine with a loss function against human wellbeing would be the one to crack it, becoming one of the most impactful companies in the world as a result.

We’re now in 1,100+ clinics, across 4 product lines, serve >20% of the UK population, and have solved >5.7 million patient cases in the past 12 months alone, saving an estimated 8,600 lives. We are cash flow positive, growing fast, and have a tight crew of ~35 people.

Multiple trillion-dollar companies will be built in healthcare over the next two decades, and we intend to be one of them.

We have a knights of the round table culture with a flat hierarchy, where we empower builders to have outsized impact on millions of lives, and where we collaboratively converge on the optimal action without dogma or ego. We’re all here to serve a greater mission than ourselves. The closest analogy for our culture is probably Firefly (the TV series): a small crew on a ship at the frontier, each person exceptional in a specific way, deeply loyal to each other and the mission, resourceful under constraints, and having a genuinely good time doing something that matters. We’re carefully curated, lean, and wholeheartedly in.

If you want your skills to be at the highest possible stakes, you belong at Anima. Your work here will save lives.

- Shun

NHS organisations need confidence in how Anima handles patient data, manages risk and supports safe care. You’ll build the Assurance function that earns that confidence to bring our technology to more clinicians and patients.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with huge ownership.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Has regulatory or compliance experience. Your background could be in insurance, financial services, healthcare or another regulated sector, including consulting or delivering assurance services for clients. Healthcare or NHS experience isn’t required, but you’ll need to learn the context quickly.

  • Gets curious about how products actually work. You’re willing to dig into data flows, integrations and AI model governance, ask good questions and explain what you’ve learned in plain English.

  • Has pragmatic judgement. You can translate requirements into practical action and build processes that are proportionate to the problem.

  • Is confident in front of customers. You can explain complex issues clearly and respond credibly to challenging questions.

  • Builds systems. You’ve turned fragmented work into reliable processes that others can use.

You’ll need to learn the NHS assurance landscape quickly. Familiarity with data protection, DPIAs, data processing agreements or frameworks would help, but you don’t need to arrive knowing every framework.

What to expect in the role

  • You’ll own customer assurance from first question to resolution. You’ll be the main contact for NHS customers, handling work such as DPIA support packs and security questionnaires. You’ll lead customer conversations and work with our Data Protection Officer on questions requiring specialist input.

  • You’ll become fluent in how our products work. You’ll build enough technical understanding to answer routine assurance questions independently, bringing in Product and Engineering for new or complex issues.

  • You’ll keep our documentation accurate and ready to use. You’ll ensure it reflects how our products operate, including coordinating clinical safety documentation with our Clinical Safety Officer.

  • You’ll build the systems behind the function.

You’ll create a self-serve knowledge base, standard answers and onboarding packs, alongside a reliable system for tracking customer agreements, terms and review dates. You’ll use response times, backlog and recurring blockers to identify where improvements will have the greatest impact.

  • You’ll influence how we launch and grow. You’ll work with product teams to address assurance requirements before launch, using customer feedback to highlight gaps.

  • You’ll represent Anima in customer conversations. You’ll help customers understand our approach, resolve concerns and make informed decisions. There’s also scope to represent our assurance work at industry events.

  • You’ll coordinate customer follow-up when incidents occur. Working with the relevant specialists, you’ll keep communications and records organised and ensure lessons learned improve our documentation and processes.

You’ll build a function whose impact reaches across Anima. Success means customers get clear, reliable answers, our teams spend less time resolving the same questions, and assurance is ready when a customer or product launch needs it.

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant legal experience with a combination of law firm and in-house counsel experience required, with a minimum of 3 years in-house. Ideally as the senior or sole lawyer somewhere lean.

  • Demonstrated experience in regulated industry, commercial contracting, and cross-functional counseling.

  • Experience in a role with broad legal and compliance scope in a lean or early-stage environment.

  • Ability to operate independently and build an AI native legal function from the ground up. Hands-on experience with legal ops tools and AI or automation to improve legal throughput and consistency.

  • Ability to manage outside counsel efficiently and effectively.

  • We’re a small team that builds together in New York City  with required 3 days in-office.

  • A hybrid in-office approach, enabling remote work a portion of each week

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)

  • Retirement Plan Contribution (401k, IRA)

  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)

  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Holidays)

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior Compliance advisor to Nium’s commercial leadership and go-to-market teams across the Americas.

  • Provide practical guidance on AML/CTF, sanctions, KYC/KYB, customer and partner due diligence, acceptable-use requirements, licensing considerations, and payment regulations.
  • Participate in customer and partner discussions when senior Compliance involvement is needed to explain Nium’s requirements, controls, or proposed solutions.
  • Assess higher-risk or nonstandard opportunities and recommend appropriate controls, conditions, or risk-mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate the resolution of compliance questions and escalations that could affect commercial negotiations, onboarding, implementation, or launch.
  • Help commercial teams understand Nium’s risk appetite and identify potential compliance obstacles before significant time or resources are committed.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for commercial and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Nium’s regulatory relationships and license-protection obligations, leveraging that knowledge to guide commercial decisions without directly owning those responsibilities.
  • Develop scalable commercial compliance frameworks, playbooks, and decision-making standards for the Americas.
  • Identify recurring barriers within the commercial process and partner with relevant teams to improve policies, controls, and workflows.
  • Deliver targeted training to Sales, Business Development, Partnerships, Account Management, and other customer-facing teams.
  • Provide senior leadership with visibility into material commercial compliance risks, emerging trends, significant decisions, and unresolved issues.
  • Represent the Americas within Nium’s broader commercial compliance and advisory framework.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in compliance, regulatory risk, financial crime, legal, or a related function within payments, fintech, banking, or financial services.
  • Significant experience advising commercial, sales, business-development, partnership, or account-management teams.
  • Experience supporting or managing compliance matters involving bank partners, card networks, stablecoin networks, or other payment infrastructure partners.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-border payments, money movement, payment platforms, bank partnerships, and complex B2B customer relationships.
  • Experience supporting platforms, marketplaces, embedded-finance providers, payment facilitators, or other businesses with underlying merchants, sellers, or customers.
  • Deep understanding of relevant compliance areas, including AML/CTF, sanctions, KYC/KYB, customer due diligence, licensing, and payments regulation.
  • Experience serving as - or working closely with - an MLRO, BSA Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, or country compliance leader.
