What this role involves

Why join us

By combining global corporate cards and banking with intuitive spend management, bill pay, and travel software, Brex enables founders and finance teams to accelerate operations, gain real-time visibility, and control spend effortlessly. Tens of thousands of the world’s best companies run on Brex, including DoorDash, Coinbase, Robinhood, Zoom, Plaid, Reddit, and SeatGeek.

Working at Brex allows you to push your limits, challenge the status quo, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry. We’re committed to building a diverse team and inclusive culture and believe your potential should only be limited by how big you can dream. We make this a reality by empowering you with the tools, resources, and support you need to grow your career.

Engineering at Brex

Engineering at Brex is about building systems that scale with speed and intention. Our teams span Software, Data, Security, and IT, and operate with high autonomy and deep collaboration. We tackle hard technical problems, own our outcomes, and push for excellence at every level — from architecture to deployment. It’s an environment where engineering is a craft, and builders become leaders.

What you’ll do

The Identity and Access Management team builds and maintains secure, user-friendly authentication and authorization systems that protect users, safeguard company assets, and provide a seamless access experience for developers. The team owns critical platform capabilities including login methods, step-up authentication, our custom authorization platform, account delegation flows like Copilot, Pro Access login, embedded partnerships authentication, and core vendor integrations such as Okta and Oso.

As a Software Engineer II on IAM, you will build product and platform capabilities that make access to Brex secure, reliable, and easy to use for customers, partners, and internal systems. You will own well-scoped projects with clear impact, contribute to the team’s technical quality and operational excellence, and help evolve the identity platform as Brex invests in signed identity propagation, delegated and agent identity, fine-grained authorization, stronger auditability, and enterprise-ready customer authentication experiences.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our SĂŁo Paulo office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate backend systems and APIs for authentication, authorization, identity context, and audit-related workflows.
  • Deliver well-scoped projects end to end, from technical design and implementation through rollout, measurement, and operational support.
  • Improve login and access experiences across SSO, MFA, step-up authentication, delegated access, and enterprise identity flows.
  • Build and extend authorization systems that support custom roles, resource-aware access control, and secure defaults for product teams.
  • Help create durable, identity-aware audit trails and attribution for user, service, delegated, and agent-driven actions.
  • Partner closely with engineers across Brex to make IAM integrations secure by default and easier to adopt through clear patterns, tooling, and shared libraries.
  • Contribute high-quality code, design reviews, documentation, and operational improvements that raise the bar for reliability and maintainability across the team’s systems.

Requirements

  • You have strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building reliable production backend systems.
  • You have experience owning well-scoped technical projects and driving them to completion with limited support.
  • You have experience building APIs, services, or platform infrastructure with strong engineering rigor around testing, code quality, and documentation.
  • You communicate clearly, collaborate well across teams, and are effective in cross-functional technical discussions.
  • You care about operational excellence and know how to improve system reliability, reduce toil, and maintain high-quality services over time.
  • You have strong product and engineering judgment and can balance security, usability, and developer experience.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication and interpersonal abilities.

Bonus points

  • You have worked on identity and access management, authentication, authorization, or audit systems in a production environment.
  • You have hands-on experience with Okta, Oso, SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, passkeys, or WebAuthn.
  • You have experience building enterprise-facing admin controls, custom roles, delegated access flows, or audit trails.
  • You have worked on platform teams that provide shared infrastructure, paved roads, or secure-by-default frameworks for other engineering teams.

If you don’t meet every qualification listed above, we still encourage you to apply. We’re looking for thoughtful engineers who want to build secure, scalable access systems and help shape how identity works across Brex.

Please be aware, job-seekers may be at risk of targeting by malicious actors looking for personal data. Brex recruiters will only reach out via LinkedIn or email with a brex.com domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Brex via other sources should be ignored.

Engineer Mission Engineer II - College Station, TX at Axon Spain

Builds technical solutions using AI, automation, data, and Axon tools to solve operational challenges for public safety agencies.

Mid Onsite Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Join Axon and be a Force for Good.

At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Your Impact

This isn’t a relationship management role. It’s an ownership role. Sharp. Adaptable. Unstoppable. As a Mission Engineer II, you’ll work directly alongside public safety agencies to turn real operational challenges into working technical solutions.

You’ll spend time with the people doing the work, understand how the agency operates, identify problems worth solving, and use Axon tools, AI, automation, data, and the broader Axon ecosystem to build against them.

Building is the core of the role, but customer needs come first. Because you’re embedded with the agency, you’ll also become a go-to technical resource who understands their Axon environment and helps them navigate critical needs when they arise. You may help quarterback an upcoming deployment, coordinate a complex technical issue, or connect the right Axon teams around an agency priority.

You won’t replace Support, Deployment, Product, or other teams. You’ll bring technical continuity, help connect the dots, and use what you learn to identify the next opportunity to build something better. Mission Engineers don’t measure success by activity. They measure it by what gets built, what gets used, and what changes because of it.

What You’ll Do

Location: On Site with travel

Reports To: Manager or Senior Manager of Mission Engineering

Discover the Mission

  • Embed with assigned agencies to understand their mission, people, workflows, systems, and priorities.
  • Develop broad knowledge of the Axon ecosystem and deeper expertise in the products deployed at your agency.
  • Work with frontline users, technical teams, and agency leadership to uncover operational friction.
  • Translate customer problems into clear technical requirements and measurable success criteria.
  • Identify opportunities for AI, automation, data, and Axon capabilities to improve how the agency operates.
  • Understand what the customer needs—not simply what they initially ask for.

Build With the Platform

  • Build applications, dashboards, workflows, automations, and using Axon products and other approved Axon tools.
  • Apply foundational software engineering concepts including APIs, data structures, scripting, testing, debugging, and version control.
  • Use AI and AI-assisted development tools responsibly within Axon’s approved development and security environment.
  • Configure and extend capabilities across Axon’s technology ecosystem.
  • Understand when you can solve the problem yourself and when deeper Product or Engineering partnership is required.
  • Build with Axon—not around it.

Transform Builds Into Outcomes

  • Move solutions from discovery into real customer use.
  • Test and iterate alongside the people who will actually use what you build.
  • Drive adoption and measure results against agreed success criteria.
  • Continue improving solutions until they create sustained operational value.
  • Document successful solutions so they can be maintained, improved, and reused.

Be the Agency’s Go-To Technical Resource

  • Maintain a consistent onsite presence and deep understanding of the agency’s Axon environment.
  • Lean into critical customer needs when your technical context or involvement can materially improve the outcome.
  • Help quarterback technical alignment around important deployments without replacing the teams responsible for deployment execution.
  • Serve as a liaison when complex technical issues require coordination beyond standard Support.
  • Help customers navigate capabilities across products such as Records, Fusus, AI Era, and the broader Axon ecosystem.
  • Connect the right resources across Product, Engineering, Support, Deployment, Training, Mission Operations, Mission Success, and Sales.
  • Continuously ask: What are we learning, what could work better, and what could we build so this is easier next time?
  • Return to the highest-value build opportunities once immediate customer needs are addressed.

Learn in the Field. Improve Axon.

  • Capture recurring customer needs, workflow patterns, and technical friction.
  • Share successful builds and lessons across Mission Engineering.
  • Bring platform limitations and customer insights back to Product and Engineering.
  • Identify solutions that could be reused by other MEs and agencies.

What You Bring

Required

  • Typically 3–5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, software engineering, systems, technical consulting, implementation engineering, or another hands-on technical role.
  • Foundational software engineering capability and demonstrated experience building technical solutions.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, scripting/ programming, data, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
  • Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications.
  • Strong technical curiosity and ability to rapidly learn emerging platforms and tools.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems rather than simply execute predefined tasks.
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-facing mindset and curiosity about how organizations actually operate.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and satisfy applicable agency background requirements.
  • Ability to maintain the onsite presence required by the engagement.

Preferred

  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, cloud platforms, or modern frameworks.
  • Experience with AI platforms, workflow automation, low-code development, or data.
  • Experience in public safety, defense, military, intelligence, government, or other mission-critical environments.

What Success Looks Like

You can take a meaningful customer problem through:

Discover → Build → Transform

Given Axon’s approved toolkit, and a problem worth solving, you can turn it into a working solution and demonstrate whether it created value. And when the agency needs you elsewhere, you lean in without losing the engineering mindset—help solve the immediate need, identify what can be improved, and return to building.

Benefits that Benefit You

  • Competitive salary and 401k with employer match
  • Discretionary paid time off
  • Paid parental leave for all
  • Medical, Dental, Vision plans
  • Fitness Programs
  • Emotional & Mental Wellness support
  • Learning & Development programs

Benefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work

Don’t meet every single requirement? That’s ok. At Axon, we Aim Far. We think big with a long-term view because we want to reinvent the world to be a safer, better place. We are also committed to building diverse teams that reflect the communities we serve.

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they check every box in the job description. If you’re excited about this role and our mission to Protect Life but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification listed here, we encourage you to apply anyways. Job Type: Full-time

Number of Openings: 2

About Snapsheet: Snapsheet is claims technology the way it should be: purposeful, precise, and designed to deliver outcomes. Where others bolt things on, we engineer them into our core systems and processes across cloud-based claims management, virtual vehicle appraisals, and elite loss and recovery services. Trusted by over 170+ P&C Carriers, MGAs, MGUs, TPAs, and logistics companies, our open architecture is built to fit how our companies work, not the other way around.

What you’ll get:

  • Remote working environment - your new commute is however long it takes to walk to your desk!
  • Flexibility - empathy is ingrained in who we are and we are happy to offer a flexible PTO policy, casual dress code, and more!
  • Development - Mentorship programs, 1-on-1 management, promote when ready culture, quarterly internal promotion opportunities, and goal setting sessions.
  • Fun -  Celebrations just because, yearly in-person and remote events, Snapsheet Swag, Employee Resource Groups, and more!

Job Overview: As a Quality Engineer at Snapsheet, you are a proactive problem solver who builds test systems and processes to elevate our standards and prevent issues before they reach production. You will operate in two connected roles: embedded within a product team to write end-to-end automation, serve as the domain subject matter expert, and foster a quality-first culture; and as a member of the broader Quality Engineering team, translating product-level needs into shared tooling and infrastructure.

As a Quality Engineer, you help engineers build with quality in mind by defining test requirements and acceptance criteria before code is written. You validate functionality by writing robust end-to-end UI automation. The Quality Engineering team owns and maintains Snapsheet’s main customer-focused automation suite and software, where you will support your product domain while building the tooling required for total confidence in automated tests.

We have 2 openings, 1 for each team outlined below:

About the team: Dispatch

The Dispatch team owns the engine that assigns work into the right hands at the right time to allow users to focus on their prioritized tasks. The team’s mission is to automatically assign work at scale to the best-fit user based on configured rules instead of manual selection. The Dispatch team’s vision is to aim for a future-state where all work routes itself, instantly and correctly, so users can focus on resolving claims to shorten the claim lifecycle.

About the Team: Communications and Documentation

The Communications and Documentation team builds the core workflows that our users rely on every single day. Our mission is to create a seamless, best-in-class experience that empowers users to manage files, communicate with customers, and document decisions without the system ever getting in their way. Our ultimate goal is to set the industry standard for file management and drive massive improvements in user efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Upstream Quality: Partner directly with Product and Software Engineering during early feature design to define test requirements, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop deep domain expertise in your product area to guide risk analysis and test coverage strategies.
  • Architect and expand robust, maintainable UI automation frameworks to cover critical user journeys and core product workflows.
  • Design and maintain automated API test suites to validate microservices, webhook payloads, data contracts, and third-party integrations.
  • Actively monitor daily automated test runs, conduct triage on test execution signals, and collaborate with engineering to fix test suite flakiness or escalate software defects.
  • Build developer-facing utilities, test data generators, and diagnostic tools that make running and debugging tests fast and frictionless for all engineers.
  • Translate the specific testing bottlenecks of your embedded product team into shared, scalable tools and infrastructure for the entire engineering organization.
  • Integrate test execution directly into CI/CD build pipelines, eliminating test flakiness and improving pipeline stability to allow fast, confident deployments.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in related discipline or equivalent working experience

  • 3+ years of experience working with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)

  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (Ruby and JavaScript preferred)

  • Familiar with project management tools (Jira, Confluence), version control systems (Git, GitHub), and test management tools (Zephyr, TestRail).

  • Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Understanding of quality assurance methods and testing principles

  • Experience in software testing environments for web-based products and/or mobile applications

  • Good self-learner and self-motivator who takes initiative and thrives in an autonomous environment

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

  • Experience with non-functional testing tools (e.g., Grafana k6, JMeter) a major plus

Technologies we use:

  • Ruby on Rails, Cucumber, Capybara, Grafana k6, JavaScript, Docker, AWS Cloud infrastructure

We’re Built to Grow With You – And That Starts With How We Support You

At Snapsheet, we know that growth doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it’s fueled by the right support at the right time. That’s why we’ve built a benefits experience designed to grow with you, wherever life takes you.

  • Choose from 2 robust medical plans through Blue Cross Blue Shield—plus, we contribute to your HSA when you enroll in our high-deductible health plan.
  • Offer two dental plans and one vision plan to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Peace of mind with company-paid Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance.
  • Additional protection through voluntary benefits like Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness, and Legal Assistance.
  • 401(k) with a 4% company match—because your future is worth investing in.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with 6 sessions per life incident to support your mental well-being.

Perks That Make Growing Here Even Better:

  • Flexible PTO and 7.5 company-observed holidays to recharge on your terms.
  • In-person connection points throughout the year including our annual Summit and Roadshows.
  • Snapsheet SWAG and surprise mailers to keep the spirit alive.
  • Endless opportunity to shape your path—career growth, learning, and real impact are all within reach.
  • Health and wellness campaigns that evolve with you year over year.

Compensation that Grows with You

For this position, the base salary range is $90,000–$120,000. While this range serves as a guideline, your actual compensation will reflect your experience and skillset.

At Snapsheet, we believe growth should be rewarded—our compensation and benefits are built to evolve with you as your career does.

We are currently unable to accept applications for candidates who reside in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Montana, North Dakota, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.

*Please note that we are unable to sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Snapsheet, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways.

Snapsheet is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities in our recruiting process. If you need assistance or accommodations, please let us know by emailing [email protected].

Engineer Software Engineer II - Data Integration Platform (DIP) Ingestion at Abnormal AI

Builds and operates scalable Python backend services, data integrations, and ingestion pipelines while improving reliability and supporting production systems.

Mid Posted 4 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Software Engineer II, Backend — DIP Ingestion

About the role

Abnormal protects organizations from cyber threats across email, identity, collaboration, and cloud applications. The Abnormal Data Platform (ADP) provides the data foundations that power detection and customer-facing products. Within ADP, the DIP Ingestion team builds the integrations and runtime systems that bring data from these platforms into Abnormal. Reliable, timely data is the foundation for the products and detection systems our customers depend on.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer II to build and operate backend services and ingestion pipelines at scale. You’ll own complex features from a defined product or platform need through design, implementation, launch, and production support. Your work may span new source integrations, improvements to our ingestion framework, snapshot ingestion, and the reliability and freshness of data flowing to downstream teams. You’ll have room to grow your technical judgment while working closely with experienced engineers and product partners.

What you’ll do

  • Build and improve secure, scalable integrations that collect data from third-party APIs and deliver it reliably to Abnormal’s downstream systems.
  • Own complex, well-scoped features end to end: clarify requirements, propose an approach, break work into milestones, implement, test, roll out, and measure the outcome.
  • Contribute to ingestion-platform capabilities such as reusable connector patterns, self-serve integration workflows, and snapshot and event-ingestion paths.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate integration development, testing, and troubleshooting while validating their output and maintaining ownership of production quality.
  • Improve ingestion freshness, correctness, and reliability by defining and tracking service-level goals, strengthening error handling and alerts, and investigating data gaps or delays.
  • Diagnose issues across vendor APIs, ingestion services, and downstream interfaces; participate in the team’s on-call rotation and turn recurring failures into durable fixes.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with engineers and partners across product and platform teams. Participate in design discussions and code reviews, and document the systems you change.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on development of production backend services in Python.
  • Experience owning the delivery of complex features: turning a clearly defined problem into a technical approach, implementation, and successful launch.
  • Strong fundamentals in backend design, APIs, data modeling, testing, debugging, and performance.
  • Experience operating services in production and using logs, metrics, and alerts to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and deployment practices, ideally AWS.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to clarify ambiguous requirements with teammates and stakeholders across functions and time zones.
  • Care for correctness, code quality, and the customer impact of data reliability.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Go, Kafka or another messaging system, and distributed data pipelines.
  • Experience integrating with third-party SaaS APIs, including authentication, pagination, rate limits, and inconsistent source data.
  • Familiarity with Docker or other container technologies and SQL databases.
  • Experience with batch or snapshot ingestion, workflow orchestration, or configuration-driven integration frameworks.

These tools analyze resume content and role requirements to suggest interview questions and areas for the interviewer to explore. They do not make hiring decisions or screen candidates automatically.
