Engineer Mission Engineer II - College Station, TX at Axon Spain

Builds technical solutions using AI, automation, data, and Axon tools to solve operational challenges for public safety agencies.

Mid Onsite Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Join Axon and be a Force for Good.

At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Your Impact

This isn’t a relationship management role. It’s an ownership role. Sharp. Adaptable. Unstoppable. As a Mission Engineer II, you’ll work directly alongside public safety agencies to turn real operational challenges into working technical solutions.

You’ll spend time with the people doing the work, understand how the agency operates, identify problems worth solving, and use Axon tools, AI, automation, data, and the broader Axon ecosystem to build against them.

Building is the core of the role, but customer needs come first. Because you’re embedded with the agency, you’ll also become a go-to technical resource who understands their Axon environment and helps them navigate critical needs when they arise. You may help quarterback an upcoming deployment, coordinate a complex technical issue, or connect the right Axon teams around an agency priority.

You won’t replace Support, Deployment, Product, or other teams. You’ll bring technical continuity, help connect the dots, and use what you learn to identify the next opportunity to build something better. Mission Engineers don’t measure success by activity. They measure it by what gets built, what gets used, and what changes because of it.

What You’ll Do

Location: On Site with travel

Reports To: Manager or Senior Manager of Mission Engineering

Discover the Mission

  • Embed with assigned agencies to understand their mission, people, workflows, systems, and priorities.
  • Develop broad knowledge of the Axon ecosystem and deeper expertise in the products deployed at your agency.
  • Work with frontline users, technical teams, and agency leadership to uncover operational friction.
  • Translate customer problems into clear technical requirements and measurable success criteria.
  • Identify opportunities for AI, automation, data, and Axon capabilities to improve how the agency operates.
  • Understand what the customer needs—not simply what they initially ask for.

Build With the Platform

  • Build applications, dashboards, workflows, automations, and using Axon products and other approved Axon tools.
  • Apply foundational software engineering concepts including APIs, data structures, scripting, testing, debugging, and version control.
  • Use AI and AI-assisted development tools responsibly within Axon’s approved development and security environment.
  • Configure and extend capabilities across Axon’s technology ecosystem.
  • Understand when you can solve the problem yourself and when deeper Product or Engineering partnership is required.
  • Build with Axon—not around it.

Transform Builds Into Outcomes

  • Move solutions from discovery into real customer use.
  • Test and iterate alongside the people who will actually use what you build.
  • Drive adoption and measure results against agreed success criteria.
  • Continue improving solutions until they create sustained operational value.
  • Document successful solutions so they can be maintained, improved, and reused.

Be the Agency’s Go-To Technical Resource

  • Maintain a consistent onsite presence and deep understanding of the agency’s Axon environment.
  • Lean into critical customer needs when your technical context or involvement can materially improve the outcome.
  • Help quarterback technical alignment around important deployments without replacing the teams responsible for deployment execution.
  • Serve as a liaison when complex technical issues require coordination beyond standard Support.
  • Help customers navigate capabilities across products such as Records, Fusus, AI Era, and the broader Axon ecosystem.
  • Connect the right resources across Product, Engineering, Support, Deployment, Training, Mission Operations, Mission Success, and Sales.
  • Continuously ask: What are we learning, what could work better, and what could we build so this is easier next time?
  • Return to the highest-value build opportunities once immediate customer needs are addressed.

Learn in the Field. Improve Axon.

  • Capture recurring customer needs, workflow patterns, and technical friction.
  • Share successful builds and lessons across Mission Engineering.
  • Bring platform limitations and customer insights back to Product and Engineering.
  • Identify solutions that could be reused by other MEs and agencies.

What You Bring

Required

  • Typically 3–5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, software engineering, systems, technical consulting, implementation engineering, or another hands-on technical role.
  • Foundational software engineering capability and demonstrated experience building technical solutions.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, scripting/ programming, data, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
  • Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications.
  • Strong technical curiosity and ability to rapidly learn emerging platforms and tools.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems rather than simply execute predefined tasks.
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-facing mindset and curiosity about how organizations actually operate.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and satisfy applicable agency background requirements.
  • Ability to maintain the onsite presence required by the engagement.

Preferred

  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, cloud platforms, or modern frameworks.
  • Experience with AI platforms, workflow automation, low-code development, or data.
  • Experience in public safety, defense, military, intelligence, government, or other mission-critical environments.

What Success Looks Like

You can take a meaningful customer problem through:

Discover → Build → Transform

Given Axon’s approved toolkit, and a problem worth solving, you can turn it into a working solution and demonstrate whether it created value. And when the agency needs you elsewhere, you lean in without losing the engineering mindset—help solve the immediate need, identify what can be improved, and return to building.

Benefits that Benefit You

  • Competitive salary and 401k with employer match
  • Discretionary paid time off
  • Paid parental leave for all
  • Medical, Dental, Vision plans
  • Fitness Programs
  • Emotional & Mental Wellness support
  • Learning & Development programs

Benefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work

Don’t meet every single requirement? That’s ok. At Axon, we Aim Far. We think big with a long-term view because we want to reinvent the world to be a safer, better place. We are also committed to building diverse teams that reflect the communities we serve.

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they check every box in the job description. Engineer System Engineer, Behavioral Analysis at Cloudflare

Builds and operates production systems for user and entity behavior analytics, including behavioral detections, risk scoring, and security integrations.

Senior Onsite Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Us

At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world’s largest networks that powers millions of websites and other Internet properties for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare all have web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World’s Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company.

At Cloudflare, we’re not looking for people who wait for a polished roadmap; we’re looking for the builders who see the cracks in the Internet that everyone else has simply learned to live with. We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a “normalized” problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you’re the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you’ll fit right in.

Available Locations: Austin Texas or New York

About the Role

Cloudflare One brings together secure access, network connectivity, and data protection. Our products generate massive amounts of signals about how people and agents access applications, use the network, and handle data—but a security practitioner needs more than isolated events. They need to understand what happened, whether it is unusual, why it matters, and what to investigate next.

The UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics) team builds the systems behind those answers. We ingest and evaluate Cloudflare One signals, produce high fidelity user-risk events, maintain risk scores, and make that information available to customer-facing experiences and other Cloudflare services. Today, we are focused on expanding our behavioral detections and improving the clarity of the resulting investigations and integrations.

As a Systems Engineer, you will build and operate production services in this pipeline. You might implement a detection for an unusual pattern of DNS activity or data movement, improve how events contribute to a user’s risk score, or make risk-event history easier for customers to investigate. You will own well-defined projects through design, implementation, testing, rollout, and operational follow-through, working with other engineers, Product, and partner teams across Cloudflare.

Responsibilities

  • Build behavioral detections. Turn product requirements and available telemetry into production-ready detections across signals such as Access, Gateway, DNS, device posture, and data protection. Define the data dependencies, evaluation approach, and how you will assess signal quality before release.
  • Make risk understandable. Help connect detection output to event history, logs, and customer-facing investigations so practitioners can see what triggered a finding and how a user’s risk changed.
  • Design & Scale Infrastructure: Architect, deploy, and maintain robust distributed systems, focusing on high availability, low latency, and horizontal scalability.
  • Collaborate across teams. Collaborate with Product and engineers in Access, Gateway, Analytics and Reporting, Logs, and other data-producing or data-consuming teams to agree on event contracts and deliver end-to-end functionality.
  • Ensure Reliability. Participate in architecture reviews, capacity planning, and proactive system health monitoring to guarantee maximum uptime and resilience.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience building, testing, and operating backend or distributed systems in production.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one systems programming language (e.g., Go, Rust, C/C++) with a track record of writing clean, maintainable code.
  • 3+ years of practical experience with databases and data-intensive services—for example, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or comparable relational or analytical stores.
  • Experience reasoning about event-driven systems: message delivery, duplicate or late events, state, failure recovery, and safe changes to live consumers or APIs.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and an ability to work through technical decisions with product and engineering partners.
  • Experience using metrics, logs, traces, profiling, and experiments to understand production behavior and validate improvements
  • Bring strong opinions, clear judgment, and a willingness to revise your view when data, users, or production reality prove otherwise.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with security analytics, fraud or abuse detection, identity, Zero Trust, SASE, or network telemetry.
  • Familiarity with Kafka or other streaming systems; Kubernetes; and high-volume event processing.
  • Experience with statistical baselines, anomaly detection, time-windowed aggregation, or evaluating false positives and detection coverage.
  • Familiarity with DNS, HTTP, authentication events, data-loss-prevention signals, or endpoint-security integrations.
  • Experience with distributed state, caches, object storage, or safe migration of a legacy production service.

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location and level.

New York Estimated Base salary $150,000 - $206,000.

Austin Texas Estimated Base salary $136,000 - $187,000.

Senior Enterprise Systems Developer - Order-to-Cash & Record-to-Report (O2C/R2R)

Location: Austin, TX

About the Role

At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. To achieve this, our internal operations must run seamlessly, securely, and efficiently. We are seeking a highly skilled, forward-thinking Senior Enterprise Systems Developer to join our Enterprise Systems team with a dedicated focus on our core financial operations: the Order-to-Cash (O2C), Revenue Management, and Record-to-Report (R2R) ecosystems.

In this role, you will be the primary technical owner for the applications that drive our billing, collections, revenue recognition, general ledger management, and financial consolidations. Your core tech stack will include NetSuite, Zuora RevPro, and Oracle Fusion Cloud (Financials - O2C and R2R modules). Your primary customers will be the Revenue Accounting, Billing, Corporate Accounting, and broader Finance organizations, and you will partner closely with them to optimize how Cloudflare transacts, recognizes revenue, and reports financials at scale.

If you are a builder at heart who enjoys solving complex financial system workflows, automating the month-end close, leveraging AI for financial insights, and designing seamless enterprise integrations from Quote-to-Cash through to the General Ledger, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Application Administration & Environment Management

  • Serve as the primary subject-matter expert and developer for Cloudflare’s O2C and R2R technology stack (NetSuite, Zuora RevPro, Oracle Fusion).
  • Manage user provisioning, complex role-based access control (RBAC), and security settings specific to billing approvals, journal entry (JE) limits, general ledger access, and revenue posting.
  • Manage application environments (e.g., Production vs. Sandbox/Release Preview), ensuring alignment across all environments from both a data and release perspective to support safe testing of financial changes.
  • Monitor ongoing application performance and reliability, managing incident workflows to ensure ticket SLAs for the Finance organization are consistently met, especially during critical month-end and quarter-end close periods.
  • Provide Tier 3 support and end-user enablement, serving as the ultimate technical escalation point for financial system issues.

System Development, Integrations & AI Initiatives

  • Act as the Subject-Matter Expert for integrations across the QTC, O2C, and R2R lifecycles. Ensure the seamless flow of data (e.g., syncing closed-won opportunities to NetSuite/Oracle, passing billing data to Zuora RevPro, and ensuring subledger transactions map flawlessly to the GL).
  • Design, build, and deploy custom system enhancements, automated billing schedules, journal entry automations, revenue allocation scripts (e.g., SuiteScript), and API integrations between our platforms.
  • Lead the evaluation, implementation, and governance of native AI features within the financial stack (e.g., AI-driven anomaly detection in journal entries and revenue schedules, automated cash application matching, or intelligent account reconciliations) to accelerate financial operations.
  • Proactively monitor vendors’ quarterly updates and product roadmaps. Lead impact assessments, manage versioning/upgrades, and educate Finance stakeholders on new functionality and AI opportunities.

Process Management & Workflow Design

  • Partner directly with the Chief Accounting Officer’s organization, Revenue Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and Billing teams to deeply understand their operational processes and translate business requirements into sophisticated system solutions.
  • Own the design, configuration, and delivery of complex workflows (e.g., dynamic invoice routing, automated dunning processes, intercompany eliminations, and month-end close orchestrations) to eliminate manual bottlenecks.
  • Build and maintain scalable system architectures that support complex, high-volume recurring billing, usage-based consumption models, and multi-entity global consolidations.

Security, Compliance, & Data Governance

  • Partner closely with Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance teams to maintain robust IT General Controls (ITGC) and strict enterprise-wide data governance for financial and customer data.
  • Spearhead and execute Quarterly Access Reviews (UAR) for all O2C and R2R applications, ensuring accurate access levels and enforcing strict Segregation of Duties (SoD) across billing, revenue, and general ledger operations.
  • Ensure newly implemented AI features, custom scripts, and data-sharing protocols strictly adhere to SOX compliance, maintain data integrity, and ensure audit readiness for all financial records and ASC 606 reporting.
  • Maintain comprehensive system architecture documentation, process maps, and business continuity/disaster recovery plans for critical financial systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum Experience: Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems development and administration, with a strong focus on Financial ERPs.
  • Platform Expertise: Deep, proven experience configuring, administrating, and developing in applications like NetSuite, Zuora RevPro, and Oracle Fusion Cloud (specifically O2C and R2R/GL modules).
  • Integration & Development Skills: Strong understanding of system integration logic (REST/SOAP APIs) and data flows across Quote-to-Cash, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report ecosystems. Experience with scripting languages native to the platforms (e.g., NetSuite SuiteScript) is highly preferred.
  • AI & Innovation Acumen: Familiarity with deploying, testing, or administering AI and machine learning features within SaaS platforms, specifically tailored to financial operations, journal anomaly detection, or cash application.
  • Audit & Compliance Acumen: Extensive experience working in a strict SOX-compliant public company environment. Highly comfortable managing quarterly access reviews, defining SoD for accounting operations, and defending system controls to audit teams.
  • Process-Oriented: A deep understanding of core Order-to-Cash (O2C), Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), and Record-to-Report (R2R) business processes, including global consolidations and the month-end close cycle.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to partner effectively with Finance/Accounting leadership and bridge the gap between technical architecture and financial outcomes.

  • Graduated with honors

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Have end-to-end ownership: design, build, ship, measure and maintain frontend and backend services in a brand-new product domain
  • Work AI-first: use AI coding agents every day to plan, code, test, review and debug, often running several agents in parallel on different tasks
  • Build AI agents, skills and workflows that multiply the team’s capabilities, such as automated code reviews, data analysis, production investigation and feature validation
  • Develop at unimaginable scale, serving thousands of requests per second
  • Influence directly on the way billions of people discover the internet
  • Collaborate closely with the brightest engineers, product managers and business teams
  • Work on innovative projects that are the next growth engines for Taboola

  • Fast learner: you pick up new languages, frameworks and domains quickly, and you aren’t afraid to dive into what you don’t know
  • The ability to juggle several workstreams and switch context well, including coordinating multiple AI agents working in parallel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A product-driven mindset and a passion for working close to the business

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with Java or other object-oriented languages (C#, Kotlin, C++ or similar)
  • Experience building AI agents, MCP servers, custom skills or automated workflows on top of AI coding tools
  • Full-stack experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, Vertica, Cassandra)
  • Exposure to large-scale distributed systems, Kafka, Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with big data tools (Spark, BigQuery, Airflow)

If you’re the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you’ll fit right in.

Available Locations: Sydney, Australia

About the Role

Cloudflare’s Senior Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) operate at the intersection of product engineering and customer impact.

As an FDE, you will be embedded within one of Cloudflare’s most strategic global customers, working side-by-side with their engineering teams to build and deploy solutions using Cloudflare’s platform. Unlike traditional Solutions Architects or consultants, you will write production code, shape technical architecture, and directly influence how Cloudflare products are used at massive scale.

You will operate as a technical extension of both organizations - helping the customer ship faster while surfacing real-world product insights back to Cloudflare engineering.

Responsibilities

This role is ideal for engineers who want to:

  • Stay deeply technical
  • Work on real production systems
  • Influence product direction
  • Build long-term partnerships with world-class engineering teams
  • Deep Technical Embedding: Serve as the dedicated, long-term technical partner within a strategic customer’s engineering organization, operating as a trusted extension of their team.
  • Production-Level Engineering: Design, build, and deploy production-ready code and configurations directly into customer infrastructure using the Cloudflare platform.
  • Technical Accountability: Own the account’s technical success across the entire Cloudflare portfolio. Serve as the primary technical point of contact, with other Cloudflare technical resources taking direction from your technical strategy for the account.
  • Operational Integration: Participate in customer engineering rituals, including daily standups, design reviews, and real-time incident response.
  • Platform Advocacy & Adoption: Identify opportunities to accelerate the adoption of Cloudflare services, unlocking new capabilities across the customer’s tech stack.
  • Platform Breadth & Depth: Deep technical competence in building production applications on a modern stack, combined with the willingness and ability to go deep on all Cloudflare product areas. From Workers to security, networking, and observability.
  • Feedback Loop & Product Influence: Surface real-world edge cases and product gaps directly to Cloudflare’s Product and Engineering teams to influence the developer platform roadmap.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Establish and maintain trusted technical relationships with senior leadership (Staff+ engineers, Directors, and VPs).
  • On-Site Presence: Maintain a regular on-site presence at customer locations to foster deep collaboration and cultural alignment.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Proven Engineering Pedigree: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience. You are a builder at heart, with a track record of delivering production-grade systems, not just advising on them.
  • Languages: You are experienced with modern languages like TypeScript, Rust, Golang.
  • Production Ownership & Operational Maturity: You have owned mission-critical services with real-world users. You understand the gravity of on-call rotations, the urgency of incident response, and the architectural rigor required to maintain “five nines” uptime.
  • Active Practitioner: You are currently in the IDE. You have a “ship-first” mentality and maintain a high velocity, staying current with modern frameworks, languages, and deployment patterns.
  • Full-Stack Architectural Depth: Broad technical fluency across the entire stack—from frontend performance and backend logic to database optimization and distributed infrastructure.
  • AI-Native Development: You have integrated AI-augmented workflows (e.g., Windsurf, OpenCode) into your daily development cycle to accelerate prototyping and delivery.
  • Systems Design & Strategic Thinking: Ability to decompose complex business requirements into scalable, resilient technical architectures. You can visualize the “big picture” without losing sight of the implementation details.
  • Cloud Ecosystem Fluency: Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including an understanding of serverless, networking, and security primitives.
  • High Agency & Navigating Ambiguity: You are a self-starter who thrives in “zero-to-one” environments. You don’t wait for a ticket; you identify the problem and own the solution from end-to-end.
  • Executive Presence: Comfortable engaging in high-stakes technical and strategic discussions with VP-level stakeholders, with the ability to translate complex engineering trade-offs into business impact.

Bonus Points

  • Direct experience building on Cloudflare Workers, or the broader Cloudflare Developer Platform.
  • Previous experience at a fast-paced startup or in a customer-facing engineering role where you operated directly within a partner’s codebase.
  • A visible public profile, including open-source contributions, technical blogging, or speaking engagements at industry conferences.

Available Locations: Austin, Seattle

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Windows Software Engineer to join our Zero Trust team. You will be working on the Zero Trust desktop client, which protects corporate devices by securely and privately sending traffic from those devices to Cloudflare’s global network, which can apply advanced web filtering and advanced Zero Trust policies.

What you’ll do

In your role, you will predominantly be using Rust along platform-native languages & APIs to implement high-performance networking code that runs on multiple desktop platforms. You’ll be expected to improve the code quality and to build solid, testable, and well-documented foundations. You will be most successful in this role if you have a good understanding of Windows internals (virtual memory, multi-threading, process lifecycle, kernel programing, system APIs, etc.) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, QUIC, H/3, proxying, etc.). You will also have to interact with other languages, such as Swift, C#, C, and python.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be expected to make significant contributions to the design and implementation of major development projects, working closely with our product managers and other teams to implement customer-impacting features. You will work on stimulating problems born out of the scale of our deployment, and the stringent quality, performance, and security requirements of our product.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows internals, kernel-mode programming, and network protocols
  • Experience in low-level Windows driver development, ideally network drivers
  • Excellent programming skills, with experience writing very high-quality and low-complexity code with thorough documentation.
  • Strong experience writing easily-testable and thoroughly-tested code (e.g. using dependency injection with the right abstractions)
  • Great experience using lower-level languages, such as Rust, C, C++
  • Very comfortable writing multithreaded, asynchronous code
  • Strong experience with debugging network-related problems
  • An understanding of how VPN technologies work, and the trade-offs between privacy, security, and anonymity
  • Good understanding of, and experience with, security protocols and standards
  • Experience mentoring engineers and raising a team’s technical bar through code review and knowledge sharing
  • Experience owning technical designs end-to-end, writing specs and design docs that coordinate work across engineers and teams
  • A track record of debugging and resolving complex issues that span team and system boundaries
  • Empathetic, proactive, and constructive communication skills, verbal and written

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • For Seattle-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $185,000 -$254,000

Equity

This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.

Engineer Applications Engineer (Texas) at Standard Bots

Applications Engineer designs, installs, and supports robotic automation solutions for customers on factory floors, combining mechanical, electrical, and software expertise.

Mid Onsite Posted 17 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Standard Bots

Standard Bot’s mission is to significantly lower the barrier to entry to real-world

automation, bringing the power of bits to the world of atoms and unlocking

productivity for entire new industries and users. Our user facing applications and APIs

unlock the power of automation for entire new use cases. A relentless focus on

simplicity and ease of use brings the revolutionary potential of robotic automation to

new users and industries. The Applications Engineering team drives forwards the

company’s mission by designing solutions around, installing and supporting Standard

Bot’s innovative 6 axis robot.

Note: This role requires up to 50% domestic travel. That number goes down as we grow the team, but right now you’re in the field – a lot. If that’s not for you, this probably isn’t the right fit.

Also note: If you’re looking for a role where you train models and push code, this isn’t it. This is a mechanical + electrical + software trifecta that happens to use AI as a tool. The factory floor is your office.

We are unable to offer Visa sponsorship for this role.

About the Role:

We’re looking for seasoned and skilled customer facing problem-solvers to help

architect the future of robotics through the design, installation and support of

innovative new robotic solutions. As a Applications Engineer you will work with other

engineers, organizational leaders, sales and customers to design, install and support

solutions for our customers in new and exciting robotic applications.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with sales and customers to design robotic solutions for novel applications, serving as a trusted technical resource throughout the sales cycle

  • Own installations end-to-end — traveling to customer sites to install, program, and validate Standard Bots solutions in the field

  • Create technical enablement materials including sample code, application notes, and white papers that help customers get the most out of our platform

  • Collaborate with in-house engineering to test and refine new features and integrations as our product expands

  • Contribute to marketing efforts by developing collateral that communicates the value of Standard Bots solutions to prospective customers

What you’ll bring:

  • Technical Depth: You have hands-on experience across electrical, software, and mechanical systems — you’re comfortable with DC power, understand NPN vs. PNP, can write Python scripts, and can navigate CAD tools like SolidWorks

  • Industry Fluency: You have hands-on experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial automation environments — you understand the constraints, workflows, and stakeholders that come with deploying technology on a factory floor

  • Operational Context: You’ve worked alongside or within production or assembly environments and can speak credibly to customers about cycle times, uptime requirements, safety standards, and integration with existing equipment

  • Growth Mindset: You’re energized by new domains and challenges, and you pick up context quickly to maximize your impact

  • Clear Communication: You communicate with precision and empathy — in writing, in person, and across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Bias for Impact: You prioritize user outcomes over technical elegance, and you execute with urgency

  • Proactive Simplicity: You default to simple, reliable solutions and proactively flag opportunities to improve on what’s proposed or already in place

  • Thrives in Ambiguity: You do your best work in fast-moving, high-expectation environments alongside a diverse team

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience. We are open to a variety of seniority levels for this role and will build compensation packages that are commensurate with seniority and skill level. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.

Engineer Site Reliability Engineer, Traffic Infrastructure at Taboola

Site Reliability Engineer manages traffic infrastructure, CDN configuration, load balancing, and networking at massive scale with hands-on Linux and production systems expertise.

Senior Onsite Posted 18 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

As a Site Reliability Engineer in the R&D Infrastructure department in our Tel Aviv Office, you’ll own the path every request takes before it reaches a service: The CDN edge, the anycast VIPs behind it, a large fleet of open source load balancers and service mesh components. At peak that chain carries millions requests per second on the way to serving tens of billions of recommendations a day.

We need a networking specialist who doesn’t stop at the wire. You bring in depth networking knowledge, native Linux fluency and modern coding practices with the diagnostic intuition to debug complex interactions between BGP enabled nodes, reverse proxies and application logs.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • 5+ years running production organization with internet-facing traffic infrastructure at very large scale, with deep understanding of TCP/IP stack (BGP, anycast, ECMP, DNS-based traffic steering, TCP, TLS, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3).
  • Deep hands-on ownership of L7 proxies in production: Nginx, HAProxy or Envoy/Istio, covering configuration at scale, performance tuning and the class of bugs that only appear under real load.
  • Production experience with a commercial CDN such as Fastly, Cloudflare, Akamai or CloudFront, including edge logic, cache policy and origin protection.
  • Fluency in Linux networking internals and packet-level diagnosis: tcpdump, conntrack, nftables/iptables, socket and TCP tuning.
  • Coding ability that goes past scripting. You will be building tooling and not only editing configuration files.
  • Kubernetes networking depth covering CNI internals, kube-proxy, ingress and east-west traffic policy.

Bonus points if you have:

  • A background in traffic observability, whether flow telemetry, real-user monitoring or synthetic probing across regions.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Own the full path a request takes from user to service: CDN configuration, TLS termination, load-balancing policy and failover behavior.
  • Move our proxy and CDN configuration into code with review, testing and staged rollout replacing hand edits in production.
  • Lead the cross-layer investigations nobody else can close from an anycast withdrawal down to a single misbehaving upstream.
  • Plan capacity and drain procedures for the traffic tier so that losing a POP or an entire data center stays invisible to users.
  • Take part in the on-call rotation, lead incident response and turn post-mortems into permanent fixes in the traffic layer.

Why Taboola?

If you ask Taboolars what they love about working here, they’ll tell you that they’ve been empowered to realize their full potential while growing and learning with smart, talented people:

Engineer Head of Engineering, Rewards at Moniepoint Group

Lead and scale the rewards platform engineering team, overseeing cashback and retention product development across millions of users.

Lead Onsite Posted 21 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Who we are

Moniepoint Inc. is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform, helping 20 million businesses and individuals access seamless payments, banking, credit, cross-border, and business management tools each month.

As Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer, we power most of the country’s point-of-sale (POS) transactions. Through our subsidiaries, Moniepoint Inc. processes over $250 billion in digital payment transaction value annually.

Why Poland

Poland is a new and deliberate addition to our engineering map. We recently made our first technology hire in the country, and we see it as a long-term strategic location for senior hires, particularly within engineering. Joining now means joining early, and helping shape what our presence here becomes.

So, now we are looking for our Head of Engineering, Rewards to join us in Poland.

About The Role

Rewards is one of the most strategically important platforms at Moniepoint, and it is being built into a dedicated charter with its own engineering and product leadership. The platform sits at the centre of our retention strategy across a user base of approximately 23 million people.

Today the platform does one thing: cashback. It works, but it has barely scratched the surface of what rewards can be, and the cashback product itself is not yet built to the depth it deserves. The ambition is to evolve it into a full rewards, retention, engagement and personalisation platform — and to do that across the full 360 degrees of our network. That means rewards for our business customers, rewards for our consumer customers, and rewards for the sales agents who drive our distribution. Very few companies get to design this from close to a blank page at this scale.

The Head of Engineering owns that platform end to end. You will inherit a team of nine engineers, including an Engineering Manager, and build the organisation out from there — the current expectation is a minimum of three product units and upwards of 25 people, though the eventual shape is genuinely yours to define. Your first objective is to get the best possible performance out of the cashback product we already have. From there, you will work with Growth, Sales and Marketing to determine what we build for acquisition and retention, and roll it out across every customer we serve.

This is a consumer-facing product engineering role, and that is the most important thing to understand about it. Rewards is won or lost on experimentation, personalisation, and the quality of the experience in a customer’s hands. We are looking for a leader who has built and shipped direct-to-consumer products at scale, who is fluent in experimentation and A/B testing, and who has real depth in front-end and mobile engineering — not a purely backend platform leader.

Moniepoint runs a Domain CTO model. We view our Heads of Engineering as the CTO of their domain: you own the technical roadmap, the architecture, the delivery, and the organisation beneath you. You will have full autonomy over engineering strategy, architecture, hiring, operating cadence and roadmap trade-offs.

You will report functionally to our Group CTO, with a dual reporting line into the Product leader for Rewards. That second line is a delivery relationship rather than a seniority one — engineering and product are peers here, and you will build the team to full capacity together. Your responsibilities as Head of Engineering, Rewards includes:

  • Owning the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for the Rewards Platform end to end.
  • Improving the performance, reliability and depth of the existing cashback product as an immediate first priority.
  • Evolving cashback into a broader rewards, retention, engagement and personalisation platform serving business customers, consumer customers and sales agents.
  • Building the engineering organisation from its current base - structuring product units, hiring engineers and Engineering Managers, and leading through those managers as the team scales.
  • Establishing a strong experimentation culture: A/B testing, cohort analysis, and measurement that lets the team learn quickly what actually changes customer behaviour.
  • Working closely with Growth, Sales and Marketing to translate acquisition and retention objectives into product and engineering initiatives.
  • Owning the customer-facing experience of rewards across mobile and web, including how quickly and reliably customers receive what they have earned.
  • Define architecture standards, engineering processes and quality metrics, and own the engineering health of the domain — incidents, production defects, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and developer experience.
  • Build the platform to serve customers across multiple geographies as Moniepoint expands.
  • Partner with Product to define the rewards-specific metrics and OKRs that do not yet exist, and hold the team to them.

Who You Are

  • Direct-to-consumer product engineering at scale. You have built and shipped products used directly by large consumer audiences, and you understand what moves engagement and retention. This is the defining requirement of the role.
  • Genuine front-end and mobile depth. You have led or personally built consumer-facing mobile and web experiences. A backend-only background, however strong, is not what this role needs.
  • Experimentation and growth engineering. Hands-on experience running A/B tests, feature flagging, and measurement frameworks, and using the results to drive product decisions rather than to justify them.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing managers — leading an engineering organisation through other engineering leaders, not a single team.
  • Hands-on technical leadership. You are still close to the code. We expect a meaningful proportion of hands-on engineering time and technical credibility with the engineers you lead.
  • 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
  • Comfort with our backend environment — Java and Spring Boot — and the ability to lead backend engineers credibly, even if it is not where your own depth sits.
  • Experience building and scaling an engineering organisation from a small base, including hiring and developing Engineering Managers.
  • Strong collaboration with commercial stakeholders — growth, marketing and sales — and the ability to translate business objectives into engineering work.
  • Rewards, loyalty, gamification, personalisation or growth platform experience is a strong advantage but is not required.
  • Fintech or payments experience is an advantage, not a requirement.

Cultural Alignment

As well, we assess every candidate across eight dimensions that define how great leaders operate at Moniepoint. We look for evidence of all eight throughout the process, not just in a single conversation.

  • Customer Obsession: Build deep empathy for users. Solve problems intuitively, and fix root causes, not just tickets.
  • Craft: Master the fundamentals. Reason from first principles, make trade-offs explicit, and raise the bar on quality.
  • Systemisation: Turn repeating decisions into scalable mechanisms. Reduce cognitive load and raise engineering quality.
  • Urgency: Move with disciplined speed. Act autonomously within scope, remove friction, and escalate risks early.
  • Ownership: Treat the platform as your own. Take initiative across boundaries and follow through without reminders.
  • No Ego: Put the mission first. Share credit, welcome debate, and never protect status over team outcomes.
  • Candour: Surface uncomfortable truths and risks early. Intelligent failure is welcome; concealment is not.
  • Integrity: Stay truthful and ethically consistent. Refuse toxic behavior. Performance without integrity is unacceptable.

What Success Looks Like In The Role

  • The existing cashback product performing measurably better — faster, more reliable, and more compelling to customers.
  • A credible rewards platform roadmap defined with Product, and the first initiatives beyond cashback shipped.
  • A functioning experimentation practice, where the team ships, measures and learns on a short cycle.
  • An engineering organisation built out from its current base, with a strong bench of Engineering Managers and senior engineers.
  • Rewards established as a measurable contributor to retention and engagement across the customer base.
  • Clear architecture standards and engineering processes in place across the product units.

Why Join Us

  • A rare blank page. The platform exists, but almost everything it could become is still ahead of it, and you will define what that is.
  • Direct influence on retention across a base of roughly 23 million users, at one of the largest and fastest-growing digital banks in Africa.
  • Full autonomy as the CTO of your domain, with the backing to build the organisation you think the problem needs.
  • Be part of a mission-driven company expanding access to financial services for millions of businesses and individuals.

What To Expect In The Hiring Process

  • 60 minute High level System Design round with one of our Engineering Managers.
  • 60 minute Panel Interview with 2 of our Head of Engineering leaders. 30 minutes focused on a technical deep dive into your CV and into a project or system you built in the past. 30 minutes focused on testing for leadership attributes.
  • 60 minute Stakeholder Management Round with one of our Product Heads/VPs, focused on your stakeholder management and collaboration skills with product and business.
  • 60 minute Technical round and Culture fit interview with our Co-founder & Group CTO (the hiring manager).

Moniepoint is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and candidates.

Why United Kingdom

The UK is home to our headquarters where more than 70 team members are based. Our London office is located at Sea Containers, just by London Bridge - this is also where a significant number of our most senior leaders sit, which makes it a natural base for a Head of Engineering.

Why Kenya

Kenya is where our next chapter begins. Following our acquisition of Sumac Microfinance Bank, we’re preparing to go live — which means the people we hire here help build a business from its first day, not inherit one. How we execute in Kenya will shape how we approach every market we enter after it, making this one of the most consequential engineering mandates in the business right now. This is the natural extension of our mission: to drive financial inclusion, and help millions of business owners and individuals across the African continent achieve financial happiness and success.

So, now we are looking for our Head of Engineering, Rewards to join us in Kenya.

This is the natural extension of our mission: to drive financial inclusion, and help millions of business owners and individuals across the African continent achieve financial happiness and success.

So, now we are looking for our Head of Engineering, Sales & Marketing Tools, to join us in Kenya.

About The Role

Sales and Marketing Tools owns MonieCRM, the operating system for Moniepoint’s 50,000-strong sales network. This is not a CRM we bought — it is a workforce operations platform built entirely in-house for a multi-level field sales hierarchy, and it is how those teams run their day to day: the portfolio of businesses they manage, their own teams, their goals and performance, the physical and digital resources they need in the field, and an emerging AI-assisted support layer. Sixteen capabilities span onboarding and network management, pipeline and portfolio, performance and goals, compensation, and sales experience and support.

A significant part of the domain moves money. The platform owns wallets, commission calculation and attribution, cashout and welfare funds for a network that drives the overwhelming majority of company revenue — which makes financial correctness, not just availability, a core engineering requirement of the role.

Alongside that, the domain covers partner management, a rewards and retention platform serving tens of millions of users, and our marketing technology stack, including the engineering and customisation of Braze, the platform we use for customer engagement. The mandate is modernisation and reliability: re-architecting systems that have grown very quickly and making them dependable at a scale of more than 20 million users. This is a platform engineering and legacy modernisation challenge first and foremost, and prior CRM or SalesTech experience is genuinely not required.

Who You Are

  • You have 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
  • 5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience writing and shipping Java code as a practising engineer. This means years spent writing Java yourself, not years spent overseeing teams who write it.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing managers — leading an engineering organisation through other engineering leaders, rather than running a single team.
  • You have proven platform engineering experience at scale — building and running complex distributed systems, not feature delivery alone.
  • You have navigated legacy migrations and re-architecture projects at 20M+ user scale.
  • You have strong backend engineering skills in high-throughput, data-intensive distributed systems, and are proficient in Java and Spring Boot.
  • You have managed and developed large engineering teams of 20 or more members.
  • Experience building systems where financial correctness matters — commissions, payouts, wallets, ledgers or equivalent — is a strong advantage.
  • A fintech or payments background is strongly preferred. CRM or SalesTech domain experience is nice to have and explicitly not required.
  • Exposure to customer engagement or marketing automation platforms such as Braze is a plus, but not a requirement.

Cultural Alignment

As well, we assess every candidate across eight dimensions that define how great leaders operate at Moniepoint. We look for evidence of all eight throughout the process, not just in a single conversation.

What Success Looks Like In The Role

  • Legacy systems modernised and re-architected, with measurable improvement in reliability and performance.
  • Commissions and earnings calculated, attributed and paid accurately and on time, at network scale.
  • A sales and marketing platform that scales with a rapidly growing agent network across multiple markets.
  • Commercial teams able to move faster because the tooling beneath them is dependable.
  • A high-performing engineering team with a strong bench of managers and senior engineers.

Why Join Us

  • Own the platform behind the commercial engine of one of Africa’s largest digital banks — the system 50,000 people rely on to do their jobs and to get paid.
  • A genuine platform modernisation mandate with the autonomy and backing to see it through.
  • Be part of a mission-driven company impacting millions of businesses and individuals across Africa and beyond.

Engineer Senior Software Engineer, Deploy at Scale at Cloudflare

Senior Software Engineer provides technical leadership for deployment infrastructure, sets architecture direction across teams, and drives safe automated deployments at scale.

Senior Onsite Posted 22 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product

Location: Austin, TX (US)

Cloudflare’s Infrastructure Team builds and runs the systems and software that support our solutions that handle trillions of requests per month. We ensure that all of the new and existing features and functionality that Cloudflare offers can be managed at scale and meet the needs of our massively growing, global customer base.

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Deploy@Scale team, you will provide technical leadership for the platform that powers safe, reliable, and automated deployments across Cloudflare. This is a senior IC role: you will set technical direction across multiple work streams, not just execute within one.

You’ll be expected to operate with significant autonomy - identifying the right problems to solve, driving architecture decisions that will hold up over multiple years, and influencing how dozens of engineering teams across Cloudflare think about safe change. You will partner directly with your EM and leadership to shape the multi-quarter roadmap, and you’ll be a primary technical voice in cross-team design reviews, RFCs, and incident retrospectives that touch deployment safety.

You’ll spend meaningful time unblocking and elevating the rest of the team: reviewing designs before they become code, pairing on the hardest problems, and raising the technical bar through mentorship - without needing to be a people manager to do it. You’ll be defining what the platform is, deciding what not to build, and making the tradeoffs which ensure the system is safe, fast, and scalable five years from now.

Where we’re heading

  • From human-in-the-loop to machine-in-the-loop: fully automated, health-mediated deployments as the default, at hundreds of thousands of releases a day.
  • Consolidating a fragmented landscape: unifying release orchestration, health mediation, feature flagging, and configuration rollback into one coherent platform.
  • AI as a first-class part of the platform: you’ll help define where and how AI assists both the platform and the humans operating it.

This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, globally distributed systems that underpin every Cloudflare product. You will play a key role in advancing the infrastructure that enables fast, safe delivery of changes to production, directly impacting the reliability and velocity of Cloudflare’s global network. You will collaborate with the team to understand business needs and develop technical solutions, working closely with internal customers to turn their workflows into platform capabilities. You will thrive in a fast-paced iterative engineering environment with short release cycles.

This role may require flexibility to be on-call outside of standard working hours to address technical issues as needed.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge, and experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including a track record of owning the architecture of complex, distributed, production-critical systems end to end.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership beyond your own code: driving RFCs and design reviews that other senior engineers and teams rely on, and being sought out as a technical escalation point.
  • Judgment for ambiguity — comfortable defining the problem and the roadmap, not just the solution, in an environment where requirements are not fully specified upfront.
  • Deep experience with safety, observability, and automation in production systems: designing rollback paths, health signals, and guardrails that other systems and teams build on top of.
  • Experience influencing technical direction across team boundaries — through architecture, mentorship, or platform APIs/contracts — without direct authority.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with AI as a working tool: fluent use of AI-assisted development, critical evaluation of its output, and a point of view on where it should and shouldn’t be trusted in a safety-critical system.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration, long-running/durable execution, or large-scale distributed systems is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication — this role requires writing docs and RFCs that persuade and align, not just describe.

Bonus points

  • Prior experience owning a deployment, progressive delivery, or change-management platform at scale.
  • Experience leading a technical migration across many independent teams (e.g., a platform sunset/replacement).

Equity

This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.

Benefits

Cloudflare offers a complete package of benefits and programs to support you and your family.  Our benefits programs can help you pay health care expenses, support caregiving, build capital for the future and make life a little easier and fun!  The below is a description of our benefits for employees in the United States, and benefits may vary for employees based outside the U.S.

Why Pakistan

Pakistan is home to the third-largest concentration of technology team members at Moniepoint, and it’s one of the fastest-growing markets we hire into, with real headroom for growth in seniority and scope. We look for people here who understand first-hand what it means for financial services to be difficult to access, and who want to work on problems at a genuine international scale - changing how banking works across emerging markets.

So, now we are looking for our Head of Engineering, Sales & Marketing Tools, to join us in Pakistan.
